PA State Colleges Have Their Own Common App

West Chester University
It was a soft roll-out that began this past August. They wanted to make sure the system would work as intended before shouting the news from the rooftops. It seems that all is well and the news is official: The Pennsylvania state schools now have their own common application. This allows students to apply to multiple PA state schools from one spot.

Kutztown University
Called the Multi-University Electronic Admissions Application, the online form can be accessed through the PASSHE website (PA State System of Higher Education), found at www.passhe.edu, or through the websites of the individual universities.

There are 14 colleges that make up the PA state system:
Millersville University

  • Bloomsburg
  • California
  • Cheyney
  • Clarion
  • East Stroudsburg
  • Edinboro
  • Indiana
  • Kutztown
  • Lock Haven
  • Mansfield
  • Millersville
  • Shippensburg
  • Slippery Rock
  • West Chester
It is quite common for students to apply to several of the state universities and this new common application has made it much easier to do that.
